Housesitting

We’re looking for a house sitter for our home in the Portuguese countryside. During this time, the house will be completely yours.

The house has 4 bedrooms, 7 sleeping places, 2 bathrooms, Wi-Fi, washing machine, dishwasher and AC/heating in 3 rooms. Outside, there’s a large garden with fruit trees, an above-ground pool and a small hot tub. The house is still a little bit of a work in progress in some places, but it’s comfortable and fully livable.

Housesitting mainly means taking good care of the house while we’re away: airing the rooms regularly, watering or heating when needed, keeping an eye on things and sending us a short update every now and then.

We ask for €80 per week to cover utilities. If you have useful practical or DIY skills, we’re also happy to talk about helping out instead.

At the end of the stay, the house should be cleaned thoroughly. If you prefer not to do this yourself, we can arrange cleaning for €80.

We also kindly ask for a €100 refundable deposit. If this sounds like a good fit, send us a few words about yourself, who you’d be coming with and how long you’d like to stay. Then we can arrange a short call to get to know each other.
